Superbike Instructors Enter
2nd Round of the Formula-USA National Road Race Series

ROSAMOND, CA – On April 22nd, 2001 at the Willow Springs International Raceway, riders Jason Paden and Stoney Landers, top instructors for Keith Code's California Superbike School, will contest the highly competitive SFX-Formula-USA national road race series on Suzuki GSXR 600's. On hand to cheer them on will be co-star of the hit television comedy The King of Queens, Lea Remini, friend and supporter of the racers and the team sponsor Dianetics.
"We're very excited about the GSXR this season, anticipating great things from it," said Freedom Motorsports Group team owner and captain, Kent Gray. "The bike is very fast right out of the box. We've only made minor modifications: motor work, suspension, pipes and cosmetics. Initial testing yielded better than expected lap times."

Riders Paden and Landers were both personally trained and coached by Keith Code who has worked with 14 of the last 17 national champions including 3-time world champion Wayne Rainey.

The team's sponsor is Dianetics, the world's most popular self-help book written by L. Ron Hubbard. Dianetics, the landmark New York Times bestseller, was chosen because of the success that Code and riders Paden and Landers have experienced with it in improving their concentration, focus and reaction time.

In fact, without Dianetics it is doubtful if Landers would have been able to race at Willow Springs because of an injury he sustained to his shoulder during a fall while traveling 130 mph three weeks ago. The problem wasn't just the accident. He had a history of these same kinds of accidents in his 6 years of motorcycle racing, a fact that threw a shadow over his career. "I applied the techniques in Dianetics and I not only healed faster, but I found the reason why I was having these recurring accidents and I'm back in the race!" said Landers.

Both Paden and Landers are looking forward to returning to nationally ranked status after intensive training with Code. Jason Paden was ranked 8th in the nation in the 250 Grand Prix class in 1995. Stoney Landers won the national championship in the WERA 600 production amateur championship in his first season and three other regional championships on a 600cc Superbike.

"In this class, which is probably the most competitive, you need the best of everything—riders, equipment, mental focus, fitness, training and team spirit," said Gray. "We've spared nothing to get each of these elements right."
